Instrument for detecting petroleum coke nitrogen

May 11, 2020

An instrument for detecting petroleum coke nitrogen, often called a coke nitrogen meter, is an analytical instrument used to determine the coke and nitrogen content in petroleum products. It usually uses thermal conductivity method or chemiluminescence method. The thermal conductivity coke nitrogen meter mainly measures the coke content by decomposing the sample at high temperature, and uses a thermal conductivity detector to measure the nitrogen content. The chemiluminescence pyrozometer uses chemical fluorescence produced by the chemical reaction of nitrous oxide to measure nitrogen content, and uses a pyrolysis reaction to decompose the sample into coke.

Coke nitrogen analyzers are commonly used in the fields of refining, chemicals and fuels, and can be used to detect the coke and nitrogen content of various petroleum products, such as gasoline, diesel, aviation kerosene, fuel oil and crude oil. The test results of the pyrozometer are of great significance for evaluating the quality of petroleum products and determining their use effects.
