We always think that the higher the speed of the variable frequency planetary ball mill, because the grinding ball will obtain more energy during grinding, but the actual situation is not always the case. During the ball milling process, the increase in the speed of the planetary ball mill will cause the speed of the ball mill tank and grinding ball to increase accordingly. When the speed reaches a certain critical value or above, the centrifugal force of the grinding ball from the ball mill tank is greater than the centrifugal force from the main disk, and the grinding ball will It will rotate along with the ball mill tank wall, reducing the impact on the material. At this time, the ball mill efficiency and energy will be reduced.
When the planetary ball mill is running at high speed, the faster the rotation speed, the faster the temperature of the ball mill system rises. Excessive temperature is detrimental to the grinding of most materials. It will not only cause the decomposition of the supersaturated solid solution, amorphous phase or other metastable phases required for ball milling, but may also cause safety hazards such as spontaneous combustion or explosion of the powder.
Because the variable frequency planetary ball mill adopts frequency converter control, it can achieve infinitely variable speed. However, in our grinding process, the speed is not as fast as possible. Except for some special materials, the speed of the laboratory planetary ball mill can reach 600rpm, which can fully meet the requirements.
