High pressure steam sterilizer working record

Apr 20, 2016

The following is a possible job record for an autoclave:

date: ________________

time: ________________

operator: ________________

Confirm equipment is ready and safe to operate

Check whether the inside of the sterilizer is clean and dry, and confirm whether all parts are normal

Start the equipment according to the instructions in the sterilizer operating manual, making sure the door is closed and sealed

Select appropriate program and sterilization conditions such as temperature, pressure and duration

Place the items to be sterilized into the sterilizer and position them so that steam can cover all surfaces evenly

Start the sterilizer and observe whether the pressure, temperature, time and other indicators reach the set values.

When the program is complete, wait for the pressure to drop to a safe value, then open the sterilizer door

Use safety tools to remove the items to be sterilized and place them in an appropriate place, such as an area to be cooled

Record sterilizer run time including start time, end time, program type, duration and temperature/pressure data

Clean and maintain the interior of the sterilizer and record this in the maintenance log

Complete the work record sheet and record all details and abnormal situations, such as equipment failures, operating errors, etc.

Submit work records to the appropriate supervisor and retain copies for future reference.

Before operating the sterilizer, check that the pressure gauge and thermometer are working properly. If any abnormality occurs, please contact maintenance personnel immediately for inspection.

Operators should properly wear personal protective equipment such as gloves and safety glasses to ensure their own safety.

For different types of items to be sterilized, different procedures and sterilization conditions should be used. For example, for samples with higher biohazardous potential, higher temperatures and pressures should be used to ensure sterilization.

Before putting the items to be sterilized into the sterilizer, carefully check whether their appearance and packaging are intact to avoid leakage or damage.

During the sterilization process, you should always pay attention to the operation of the sterilizer to ensure that it is in normal condition. If any abnormality is found, please stop the program immediately and contact maintenance personnel for inspection.

The sterilizer should cool down for a period of time after completing the program until the temperature of the items to be sterilized drops to a safe temperature. Before taking out the items to be sterilized, carefully observe whether their appearance and packaging are intact.

For each sterilization, all details and abnormal situations, such as equipment failures, operating errors, etc., should be recorded in the work record. These records can provide important information for tracking sterilization quality.

Perform regular sterilizer maintenance and upkeep, and follow manufacturer's instructions for periodic inspections and repairs. This ensures the reliability and long-term use of the equipment.
