5.1 After the test is completed, turn off the instrument.
5.2 Cut off the power supply.
5.3 Remove the sample slide from the instrument.
5.4 Clean the objective and eyepieces with xylene to remove any oil and Greek oil, then wipe dry with tissue paper.
5.5 Clean the outer surface of the instrument with a clean dry cotton cloth, clean it with isopropyl alcohol if necessary, and dry it with tissue paper.
5.6 Record cleaning in the instrument log.
